SEE FAIR 2008 Contemporary Art Fair 2008
If 2007 was the start of this adventure, 2008 may be the start of the consolidation of the fair. A project that aim, firstly, to raise awareness and familiarity with the contemporary art and, once achieved that goal, promoting the collecting (institutional and private) as a form of patronage for artists to continue its work and ensure that, over time, to bring relevant specialized collections in contemporary art to balance the scales when measuring the artistic heritage that we inherited from the past and we are building today. Such consolidation is based, First, in the interest shown by some art galleries, as the gallery Catharsis in Madrid, which regularly participates in other shows such as Vignette (Madrid) or OASIS, Osaka International Art Show Selection (Japan), which is involved with two of his artists and has offered its cooperation in organizing future editions of the Contemporary Art Fair Arévalo. Another symptom could be the level of participants, if only in the last issue we showed the work of young artists, this year will have the presence of some more established artists in the current art scene. In short, we can say, watching the short but upward trajectory (Not only in the number of participants) of the event, which this show has a future, provided they continue to count with the necessary institutional support, without which it would be possible to carry out this sample generating cultural and economic wealth.
